Hekate, My Shadow Priestess: Building a Brand While My Fur Baby Waits

It’s 11:51 p.m.
I’m eating dinner, trying to wind down, and Hekate—my mini schnauzer—is curled up beside me like she always is. Quiet. Patient. Too patient.

I work from home.
I support my children, even though they’re grown and in college.
I’m on my laptop 18 hours a day, building rituals, writing guides, trying to crack the code that might finally let my magic be seen.

And this weekend, I cried.
Not because the work was hard (it always is).
But because I realized I haven’t been a very good mommy to my little fur baby.
She sleeps all day while I chase algorithms and energetic resonance.
She waits while I sit on a vibration plate for 40 minutes just to get my blood moving.
She waits while I try to figure out what might “take off.”

She doesn’t care about Pinterest plugins.
She doesn’t care about SEO.
She just wants me.

And I’m trying.
I’m trying to build something that will give us both more freedom.
I’m trying to honor the sacred while surviving the grind.
But tonight, I just want to say: I see you, Hekate.
You are my shadow priestess. My quiet witness. My reminder that love doesn’t need to be monetized.

To anyone else building something sacred while your dog waits, your body aches, and your soul feels stretched thin—this is your altar too.
You are not failing.
You are devoted.
